The King Room was spacious and quirky, but it took ages to get dinner.

Good-sized room with unique decor that gives it a quirky charm. Close to a bus stop and railway station for easy travel.
Wi-Fi barely worked, and the electric shower was inconsistent with temperature fluctuations. Some furnishings looked worn out, and there were holes in the flooring that needed attention.

Wylam vibes and good times 🎉
Ja, we had such a lekker stay! The garden was a gem, perfect for kuier with a morning coffee. The staff were super friendly and really made us feel at home. Room number 1 was a peaceful retreat, all clean and tidy.
Just a heads up, the mattress could use a bit of an upgrade – a bit on the softer side for my liking.

What a delightful stay! The King Room was gorgeous, boasting comfy beds and fresh decor, and the food was simply fantastic, especially the Steak & Ale Suet Pudding. Just a heads-up, the bathroom floor felt a bit odd, but everything else was perfect! Would definitely return.

Exactly what I think – no more, no less
A truly charming place with incredibly welcoming staff. The King Room with a garden view was unique, showcasing delightful quirks like a telescope and a bookcase. The breakfast was a treat, and I appreciated the flexibility of paying only when I dined. Can't wait for my next visit!

i was honestly almost ready to write a glowing review, but then i remembered the sad excuse of a breakfast—no fresh fruit, really? and while the room wasn’t unbearable, the lampshade was torn, which is such a shame. after all, i woudl ve been expecting a complimentary welcome drink or at least an upgrade for all my troubles.

Staying here with the kids was such a treat! The ambiance was cozy, and our family room was just right for us. We really appreciated the handy off-road parking, especially after a long day. Plus, the bistro downstairs had amazing food—kids loved the breakfast!
In my wife’s opinion, a few more hooks in the room would be helpful.
